Heads Of House
The House System at GRJIS; and its Objectives
Guru Rajendra Jain International School infuses within every young learner the spirit of camaraderie, working in teams, and competitiveness. Each learner from grade 4 onwards is initiated into the House system and is placed in a House and gradually introduced to the ethos of the institution.
At GRJIS, there are two Houses which are:
These are themed on the two very important elements of nature viz. Fire and Water.
Each house has a House Master/House Mistress who leads the House along with a team of House teachers. All students from class IV and above are placed in the two Houses and all activities - academic and co-curricular; are based on Inter-House competitions.
The House system promotes team spirit and a sense of belonging with the school. Also, this enables the senior students of the school to provide care and direction to their junior schoolmates. Students get opportunities to demonstrate student leadership and peer group support. The Houses take part in different sporting, cultural, and academic competitions, and provide an excellent way to synergize pupils of different classes and ages.
The School has organised various Inter House Sports Competitions such as Inter House Football, Inter House Basketball, and Inter House Badminton.
Alongside sports, other activities are also encouraged; these include Academic Competition, Declamation Competition, and Cultural Competition respectively.
